In preparation for this I bought some facepaint and thought I'd have a quick practice to see how it turned out, if I could wear makeup with it etc. this is the result of tonight's festivities:
For Halloween I hope to paint myself green (with a little help from my friends) from the bust up, including my arms!!! There will, of course, be pictures or it all but for a first experiment I don't think it's too shabby!!! Oh and, yes Robyn, my ears will be painted too but it's damned hard to paint an ear it turns out!!!!

Brian off Big Brother years back and Jim Davidson ar having a huge bitchy queen fight on Hell's Kitchen... I just drove my mum & dad home from a party. They're pissed!!!!!!!!!!! I then had to cook my mum a bacon & egg sandwich. My mum has never been this drunk before... she's fun!!!!!!!!!!!
Usually she gets morose and tipsy and makes comments about her daughter's facial features or what a hard life she's had. This evening she's been going on about how much she loves her new car (Brand New today with 5 miles on the clock when she picked it up!!!) and how she's never owned a car in her own name before and how happy she is and if she closes her left eye she could drive drunk because the white lines went back to the right place on the road.. or at least one of the sets of white lines was in the right place but the other set were not etc. SHe had hiccups and everything!!!!
As my sister and I say "She's marinated in white wine" (Arisotcats quote, god I love that movie!!!)
Now on to the car... I drove a brand new Clio today!!!!!!!! Va Va Voom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we get a scratch on it, we're dead!!!!! It's all swish and nice and comfy and it has turny button things and twiddly bits and it's very very cool.

And her perceptions of the way you are treated as a westerner and a woman are kind of bang on but she's just saying it in a kind of straight out Kelly kind of way!!! Although I feel kind of bad for her because she obviously has just been thrown straight in, no preparation, no Japanese so a lot of it is confusing her... I don't know. I mean, I turned up the first time speaking no Japanese, I had no clue what to expect and I had never lived in a city before and now I think a lot of the stuff she's saying "well, that's just Japan. You get used to it" But yeah, thinking back some of these exact same things made me just as angry as she's getting and I was just as thrown by it all before I got brainwashed into the "It's just crazy Japan" mode!!
Actually, this is kind of weird, it's like watching myself during my gap year. She's reacting exactly the same way.

I have found the best motivational tool. You know how you offer *cookies* to motivate online, well I am offering myself actual cookies!!! Every 300 words I write I get to have a cookie from Millies!!! At 900 words I get to arse around reading fan fic and at 1500+spell check I get to bugger off and never look at it again!!!! Excellent motivational system I think!!!!!!
ETA: How did people procrastinate before the internet? Coz technically I haven't left my desk for the last 3 hours but I've basically done sod all and could have finished this thing if I had a clue what to say... I've also painted my nails 3 times, which was not internet based but that's pretty much it for procrastination sans internet!!!

I was babbling happily about Torchwood to mum and I mentioned Jack's coat and she said that she though she'd seen one at Grandpa's. He was a WWII pilot so it would figure. But mum's going to ask Emily if there is one in existence if I can have it. It may not be in great condition if it does exist but I would be so honoured to have it if I could. It would mean so much to me in so many ways. Grandpa was a great man and I will forever be telling people about him and, you know, Captain Jack coat!!! And I'd outrank him with a Wing Commader's coat, hee!!!!

I must be mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My flatmates now think I am totally certifiably mad but I don't care!!!!!!!Ok, I am calm now... honest.
The only bad this is that I have 4 1/2 hours on a train tomorrow to entertain myself somehow!!!!!

I was being a bit faceious last time I said this but it as struck me again. I am Ianto. I don't know how this only just struck me now but I was making a pot of proper coffee for my flatmates, trying to wean them off that instant crap... yeah.
